SLPA says port operations are normal

Sri Lanka Ports Authority says operations at the Colombo port are continuing as usual even though the country saw a token strike in several sectors.

SLPA Chairman Dr. Prasantha Jayamanna in a brief statement said all terminals of the Port of Colombo including the South Asia Gateway Terminals (SAGT), Colombo International Container Terminals (CICT) and the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) of the SLPA are carrying out its operations as normal.

SLPA also said steps were taken to afford transportation for employees from all suburbs and regions to report to work.
