His comment on twitter came shortly after the Colombo Magistrate Court issued a travel ban on the former PM, Namal Rajapaksa and several other former ministers and SLPP politicians including Johnston Fernando and Rohitha Abeygunawardena.
The travel ban was imposed on the request of the Attorney General who said they must remain in the country till the investigations into the attacks on protesters opposite Temple Trees and Galle Face on 9 May are completed.
“I personally will extend my fullest cooperation to any investigation that is taking place with regard to the unfortunate events that took place on Monday,” Namal Rajapaksa said in a twitter message.
