GR tells SLPP dissidents he’s agreeable to interim administration

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has said he is agreeable to setting up an interim administration to address the economic problems faced by the country , former president Maithripala Sirisena said.

He and several others representing the 11 party alliance as well as a group of SLPP dissidents met with the president this morning to discuss their demand for an interim government .

Sirisena said the president has agreed to set up such an administration if all parties agree to it with a new prime minister and cabinet but this is contrary what he told a group of SLPP MPs he met on Thursday night when he said the PM can continue in office.
