Total COVID-19 positive cases now at 170

There are now 170 COVID-19 positive cases in Sri Lanka, with eight new cases reported in the 24-hour period ending at 4:30 p.m. today.

Three of the eight patients were identified at the Homagama Base Hospital, one at the Puttalam Quarantine Centre, two from Colombo, and one from Negombo.

Another individual was from Matara and this individual is believed to have closely associated with a COVID-19 patient.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, there are currently 136 patients under medical care and 26 recoveries and there have been five deaths.
