Three more COVID-19 infected cases have been identified from Maradana, Jaffna and Kurunegala, increasing the total cases to 146, the Health Ministry said today.
The number of recovered patients has increased by two since 10 a.m. yesterday, the latest situation report by the Epidemiology Unit shows. There are now 18 recovered patients.
The number of active cases is 123, of which 102 are at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID), 12 are at the Colombo East Base Hospital, and nine are at the Welikanda Base Hospital.
Of the confirmed cases, 34 are from quarantine centres, 32 are from the Colombo District, 25 are from Puttalam, and 24 are from Kalutara.
In addition to this, a total of 231 suspect cases are under observation at various hospitals, including 55 at the Homagama Base Hospital, 23 at the Negombo District General Hospital, and 18 at the Welikanda Base Hospital.
