Three COVID-19 cases identified in the last 24 hours

Three new COVID-19 cases were identified in the 24-hour period ending at 10am today, bringing the total number of cases to 151. The latest situation report published by the Epidemiology Unit shows there are currently 125 active cases in the country, out of which 99 are at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID), 14 at the Colombo East Base Hospital, and 12 at the Welikanda Base Hospital.

One patient recovered in the last 24 hours and a total of 22 have now recovered in the country. A total of four deaths have been recorded. In addition to this, 250 suspect cases have been hospitalised, including 73 at the Homagama Base Hospital, 27 at the Welikanda Base Hospital, and 16 at the Ragama Teaching Hospital.
