Re-imposition of curfew extended to 2pm

As large numbers of people thronged the streets from 6am, authorities have decided to extend the re-imposition of curfew to 2pm, giving an additional two hours.

Police confirmed that curfew will be imposed only at 2pm and not 12 noon as announced earlier in Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam and Districts in the North.

Police have also requested that shops remain open to serve all customers even after curfew is imposed again.
