Post offices open from 4 May

All post offices countrywide will be open from next Monday, the Postal Department said today, ensuring that normal services will resume.

According to the statement released by the Postal Department, the usual services of paying bills, collecting pensions and others will be available to the public.

The Postal Department appealed for public assistance in implementing the necessary COVID-19 countering measures and to ensure the same safety measures when people encounter postmen.

Earlier post offices were opened in non-high risk areas but there were limitations placed on parcel delivery services given the difficulty in moving them within and outside the country.
