Pensions and payments to vulnerable communities to be completed on Monday: Govt.

Arrangements have been made to complete the distribution of pensions and special allowances on Monday, according to the Preisdent's Media Division today. Pension payments will be made through the Grama Niladhari officers of the area on Monday, 6 April.

The following payments will be handed over to the recipients at their residences:

• an allowance for senior citizens.

• an allowance for individuals over the age of 100.

• an allowance for persons with special needs.

• an allowance for patients suffering from kidney disease.

The following payments will be coordinated by officers of the Department of Agrarian

Development and Agriculture Research Production Assistants:

• pensions for farmers.

• pensions for fisherman.

In addition to the distribution of the above-mentioned allowances, the relevant authorities will also be distributing the pension payments to those recipients who were unable to obtain their pensions on 2 and 3 April.
