A party leaders meeting called by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic commenced a while ago at Temple Trees.
Those attending the meeting were subjected to mandatory health precautions such as temperature checks, face masks, hand sanitizing, and distanced seating.
Those attending include former Speaker Karu Jayasuriya and UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Former Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and former President Maithripala Sirisena as well as representatives of all political parties of the last parliament are present at the meeting.
Health and Indigenous Medical Services Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi and Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva are also at the meeting.
