Nine COVID-19 patients brings total cases to 674

Nine people were diagnosed with COVID-19 today, the Health Ministry said bringing the total number of cases to 674. Of the nine new patients five were people who were close associates of navy personnel that were earlier diagnosed with the virus, Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasingha said in a statement.

Three of the remaining four patients are Navy personnel and one person is from the Colombo District, the statement added. A total of 157 people have been discharged after recovering from the virus.
