The Hatton National Bank (HNB) has closed its Colpetty branch as a precautionary measure after a staff member's father tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
According to a press release by the bank, the staff of the branch has been advised to self-quarantine for 14 days following the public health regulations. The Colpetty branch will also be closed for 14 days due to a disinfection program being carried out.
The bank requests all clients of the branch to use any other HNB bank branch close by to obtain their services. HNB urges all clients to use digital banking channels for their transactions as much as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the banking sector has been classified as an essential service, all other HNB banks will continue operations with the staff under strict public heath guidelines, the press release added.
