Global COVID-19 cases at 1.7 m, death toll crosses 108,000

Reuters: Over 1.7 million people have been reported to be infected by COVID-19 globally and 108,252 have died, according to a Reuters tally.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases

were identified in China in December 2019.
