Drugstores to remain open during curfew

Drugstores are to remain open during curfew as a large number of people have been inconvenienced by the closure of pharmacies and hospital clinics when curfew is imposed.

In a statement issued today, the Health and Indigenous Medical Services Ministry stated that Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi requested from the Inspector General of Police that diagnosis certifications and prescriptions be considered as curfew passes.

A request was also made to authorise transportation of drugstore supplies as well as staff even when curfew has been imposed.
