Incidences of child abuse cases have increased by 33% during the period of curfew, ECPAT Sri Lanka, a child rights groups, said today.
All these complaints were related to domestic violence, cruelty and abuse but not sexual abuse, ECPAT SL said via its Twitter profile @ecpatsl.
During the past seven days, 111 complaints have been received by the Child Protection Authority, it said. ECPAT SL is a part of ECPAT international, a worldwide network of organisations working to end the sexual exploitation of children.
