A batch of 206 persons who completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine program at a centre run by the Air Force in Vanni was released a short while ago after completing required medical check-ups.
According to the Air Force, 206 passengers who returned from overseas had arrived at this quarantine centre on 17 March. The centre, the first established by the Air Force, was set up at the Air Force Regiment Training Centre in Vanni.
The persons released today were notified to continue self-quarantine at home for a further 14 days and were provided transport to their respective areas of residence.
