Eleven new COVID-19 patients, including one pregnant person, have been identified, bringing the total confirmed cases to 162.
National Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe said today that three patients were identified at the quarantine centre in Jaffna. Two others were returnees from the US and South Korea who were also under quarantine at an unnamed quarantine centre.
Further, one diagnosed patient was identified at the Puttalam quarantine centre and another from the Chilaw region.
The pregnant person was from the Kalutara area, which was subject to total lockdown. Another diagnosed patient had closely associated with a foreigner. Additionally, two persons who had closely associated with the first patient from Akurana were also diagnosed with COVID-19.
