India International Textiles Expo 2019 in July in Colombo

Powerloom Development and Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL), set up by Ministry of Textiles, Government of India is organising an exhibition cum buyer seller meet,‘India International Textiles Expo’ IITExpo Colombo 2019, during 29, 30 and 31July at Hotel Galadari, Colombo.

PDEXCIL works on the objective of overall development of the powerloom industry of India and promotion of marketing of powerloom products, including exports with the active support and guidance from Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India to support Indian manufacturer exporters. To achieve this objective PDEXCIL organises various market promotional activities such as seminar, workshop, buyer seller meet, etc. and also participates and organises exhibition cum buyer seller meet in India and abroad.

The third edition of IITExpo Colombo 2019 will be a great platform for Indian textile manufacturers/exporters to directly interact with Sri Lanka’s textile importers/buyers and apparel manufacturers. Exhibitors from all over India are participating in the event, displaying varieties of textiles under ‘Incredible Textiles of India’. 

More than 40 Indian exhibitors from major powerloom clusters of India such as Surat, Ahmedabad, Erode, Coimbatore, Ichalkaranji, Solapur, etc. will be displaying fabrics, yarn and made-ups in various blends, texture, colour, designs, etc. suitable for apparel, industrial and technical application. Buyers of Sri Lanka can look for variety of products such as cotton fabrics, check shirting, polyester cotton blend, poly-viscose, suiting fabrics, terry towel, bath towel, dress material, etc. 

India and Sri Lanka have always shared a cordial relation in trade, social and cultural, being its immediate neighbour country and having cultural similarity. PDEXCIL also keeps good relation with various textile trade associations and Government agencies. PDEXCIL is organising IITExpo Colombo 2019, which will provide a first-hand experience to Sri Lankan buyers to interact directly with a diversified group of Indian textile manufacturers/exporters. India overall is the 2nd in terms of fabric exports to Sri Lanka and IITE 2019 would further enhance this in future.

IITExpo Colombo 2019 is spread over three days from 29 July to 31 July.Expect trade visitors from garment industry, major importers, wholesalers, bulk buyers, institutional buyers,etc.
