The Powerloom Development and Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL), set up by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, will be organising the exhibition cum buyer seller meet ‘India International Textiles Expo’ or IITExpo Colombo 2019, on 29, 30 and 31 July at Hotel Galadari, Colombo.
PDEXCIL works on the objective of overall development of powerloom industry of India and promotion of powerloom product marketing, including exports, with the active support and guidance from the Government of India’s Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Commerce and Industry to support Indian manufacturer exporters. To achieve this objective, PDEXCIL organises various market promotional activities such as seminars, workshop, buyer seller meets etc. and also participates and organises exhibition cum buyer seller meets in India and abroad.
The third edition of the IITExpo Colombo will be a great platform for Indian textile manufacturers/exporters to directly interact with Sri Lanka’s textile importers/buyers and apparel manufacturers. Exhibitors from all over India are participating in the event, with a wide variety of textiles under ‘Incredible Textiles of India’. More than 40 Indian exhibitors from major powerloom clusters such as Surat, Ahmedabad, Erode, Coimbatore, Ichalkaranji, Solapur etc. will be displaying fabrics, yarn and made-ups in various blends, texture, colour, designs etc. suitable for apparel, industrial and technical application. Sri Lankan buyers can look for a variety of products such as cotton fabrics, check shirting, polyester cotton blend, poly-viscose, suiting fabrics, terry towel, bath towel, dress material etc. PDEXCIL also keeps good relationships with various textile trade associations and government agencies.
IITExpo Colombo 2019 will provide Sri Lankan buyers with first-hand experience in interacting directly with a diversified group of Indian textile manufacturers/exporters.
Trade visitors from the garment industry, major importers, wholesalers, bulk buyers and institutional buyers are all expected to convene over the three day expo.
