Spring Valley brews another all time record price

Spring valley which established an all time record price for BOP1 grade on 30th July 2013, established another all time record price of Rs.670/-per kg for a line of FBOP1 grade at the weekly tea auctions held on 19th August 2013.This surpasses the previous all time record price of Rs.650/- for the same grade. Spring Valley Estate situated in the Uva Planting District, with its tea fields extending down from the highest mountain range in Uva - “the Namunukula range”, is owned and managed by Balangoda Plantations PLC since privatization. This line of tea was purchased by M/s Stassen Exports Ltd and the sale was conducted by M/s Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers (Pvt) Ltd.
