Hidellana Tea Factory Ltd. and Avissawella Tea Factory won the gold award at the national Industrial Excellence Awards 2014. The award ceremony was held on 29 October at Waters Edge, Battaramulla.
The event was organised by the Sri Lanka Chamber of Small and Medium Industries. The main sponsor was Union Bank Plc.
