Renuka Shaw Wallace buys Mr. Pop for Rs. 36 m

Renuka Shaw Wallace (COCO) Group has purchased the intellectual property rights, stocks and all rights attached relating to Mr. Pop, Chatters, Taze, Yummee, Rockers and Pic Nik brands from Hemas Group for Rs. 36 million.

Renuka said Mr. Pop is the second largest brand in the extruded snacks category in Sri Lanka.

The acquisition is via COCO’s subsidiary Shaw Wallace Ceylon Ltd., whilst Hemas subsidiaries which handled the activities were Hemas Manufacturing Ltd., Hemas Marketing Ltd. and Hemas Trading Ltd.
