An invoice of Broken Orange Pekoe Special (BOPSP) grade offered under Western High grown category at the Colombo Tea Auction held on 18 April for sale under the Inverness mark realised an all-time record price of Rs. 760 per kilo.
Inverness is a selling mark of Nuwara Eliya Estate, Labookellie and is a part of Kelani Valley Plantations PLC, a member of Hayleys Group of Companies.
This tea was purchased by Unilever Lipton Ceylon Ltd, Tea Division and this tea was successfully marketed by Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC.
