CIC Agri Businesses Managing Director/Chief Executive Keerthi Kotagama received a prestigious International Award for being a Responsible Business Leader in South Asia at the Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards (AREA) held in New Delhi.
The award was bestowed by Enterprise Asia, a non-governmental organisation for entrepreneurship which annually organises 15 regional programs in the Asian Region.
The Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards was regionally based and Kotagama was the only Sri Lankan in the South Asian Region to receive this award while the founder member of Apollo Hospital Dr. Prathap C. Reddy of India was also adjudged a winner in the same category.
At a glittering ceremony held at the Taj Place, Kotagama was introduced as an Iconic individual who has been a role model in advocating and promoting all aspects of responsible entrepreneurship in building a business. Receiving the award, Kotagama dedicated it to the farmers of Sri Lanka who tirelessly work to feed the world.
The award was as a result of the outstanding efforts and initiatives that have been initiated by Kotagama for the Lankan nation in uplifting the rural economy and for his efforts in driving CIC Agri Businesses to be a leader in the agri business sector of the island.
Kotagama received the award from William NG, President Enterprise Asia amidst a large and distinguished gathering of business leaders from the South Asian region.
CIC Agri Business has been the recipient of many national and international awards for excellence, innovation, quality, services and national mindedness in the recent past. The latest award is another feather in the cap for CIC Agri Businesses that is committed towards uplifting the rural economy and transforming Sri Lanka into a nutritious and healthy nation.
