Basil inspects Bopaththalawa farm

Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa made an inspection visit to Bopaththalawa farm yesterday Sunday to see ongoing constructions and renovation works.

2000 dairy cows are to be imported from Australia to increase the milk production of the country. As first step of this project 500 dairy cows imported from Australia to improve local dairy industry were handed over to the Bopaththalawa farm Nuwara Eliya which belongs to the National Livestock Development Board and off spring born from these cows are expected to be distributed among dairy farmers of the country. Under this project, infrastructure facilities of Bopaththlawa farm are to be developed.
