National tea sales average for the month of January 2021 of Rs. 645.02 ($ 3.40) has shown an increase of Rs. 56.17 vis-à-vis Rs. 588.85 ($ 3.28) of January 2020 Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers said.

Medium Growns, totalling Rs. 585.37 ($ 3.09) for January 2021, have shown a substantial increase of Rs. 90.75 vis-à-vis Rs. 494.62 ($ 2.75) of January 2020, whilst showing a marginal decline of Rs. 4.22 when compared to the December 2020 average of Rs. 589.59 ($ 3.17). Meanwhile, Low Growns, totalling Rs. 673.04 ($ 3.55), have shown an increase of Rs. 44.30 vis-à-vis Rs. 628.74 ($ 3.50) of January 2020. In the case of Low Growns, a gain of Rs. 11.27 is recorded vis-à-vis Rs. 661.77 ($ 3.56) of December 2020.
