Halpewatte Uva Estate located in Bandarawela, which is renowned for producing quality light liquoring orthodox teas, established all-time record prices for a BOP1 grade at Rs. 1,500 per kg and Rs. 1,300 per kg on a liquoring BOPSP in the Uva Medium Category at the tea auction held on 22 March. These invoices were purchased by Commercial Exports Company and Ranfer Teas Ltd., respectively. |

Hingalgoda Tea Factory re-establishes all-time record price
Hingalgoda Tea Factory situated in Hiniduma, Galle, known for producing premium quality low grown CTC teas, established an all-time record price at the weekly tea auctions held on 23 March, by securing an attractive price of Rs. 860 per kg for a PF grade in the Off Grade category. This surpassed their previous record price of Rs. 840 per kg for the same grade, which was obtained at the auction held a week ago. This line of tea was purchased by Stassen Exports Ltd., on behalf of Beta Tea. |
