A series of Ceylon tea sampling sessions were launched at the Lenta hypermarket chain in St. Petersburg, Russia on 29 November.
The Tea Promotion Unit of the Sri Lankan Embassy in the Russian Federation, in collaboration with the Lenta hypermarket chain, one of the largest Russian hypermarket chains, rolled out the sampling session program with the objectives of promoting Ceylon tea brands, which carry the lion logo – the symbol of genuine Ceylon tea – and are available on the shelves of the Lenta hypermarket chain.
Accordingly, during the series of sampling sessions, Ceylon Tea brands such as Basilur, Dilmah and Hyleys are being promoted.
Apart from the general promotion of Ceylon tea, the sampling session program will enhance awareness of the lion logo and its importance for end tea consumers.
The sampling session’s programs will run for one month, covering both St. Petersburg and Moscow, holding 28 three-day sessions in various Lenta hypermarkets.
