Maturata Plantations Sets an All-Time Record Price.

At this week’s Tea Auction held on 03rd and 04th April an invoice of PEK1 grade from Gonapitiya Tea Factory, Mandaramnuwara, established an all-time Colombo Tea Auction record price of Rs.1,500.00 per Kg.

This was a stylish invoice of PEK1 grade in the Uva High category and was purchased by M/s Meezan & Co. (Pvt) Ltd. The tea was sold through the catalogue of M/s Bartleet Produce Marketing (Pvt) Ltd.

Gonapitiya Tea Factory consistently produces some of the finest Uva High elevation teas and is now amongst the best-established marks offering teas at the Colombo Auctions. Gonapitiya Estate is owned by Maturata Plantations Ltd, a Member of the LOLC Group.
