Chrishan MendisB.Sc (Hons) FCMA CGMAFCIM &Chartered Marketer, has been elected to the CIMA Global Council from June 2020, for a term of three years from the United Kingdom.

Based in Manchester,Chrishanrepresents the North West England & North Wales electoral constituency(EC6)of theChartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.The Council is thegoverning body of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

Chrishan an alumnus of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka,graduated withB.Sc.(Hons)in Physical Sciences in 1982.He was admittedan Associate Memberof Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 1986 and obtained Fellowship in 1989.Chrishan had his education at St. Peter’s College, Colombo and Royal College, Colombo.

He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM)UK and a Chartered Marketer.

Having commenced his corporate career in the Hayleys Group in 1983 as a Management Accountant, Chrishanheld many positionsin the Eco Solutions sector in the groupover the years and was the Head&Managing Director of the Eco Solutions sectorfrom2014 to 2107.He was also a member of the Hayleys Group Management Committeefrom 2001 to 2017.

With a professionalcareer spreadacross Sri Lanka andUKspanning over 36 years,Chrishan haswide exposure inAccounting,Finance, Manufacturingand International Marketingbeing based in the UK since 2010.
