24th anniversary celebrations of Lyceum International Schools

01“We look forward to continuously improving Lyceum standards for generations to come,” Lyceum International Schools Founder Mohan Lal Grero said.

Speaking as the Chief Guest at the 24th anniversary celebrations of Lyceum International Schools, on 13 June, Grero reiterated, “We are excited to be celebrating the 24th Founder’s Day of Lyceum International School. Since 1993 this school has been brought up to impeccable standard it is today, with sheer determination and faith. 

“Every day when we walk into school, we feel a sense of honour, delight and a sacred responsibility. The children we serve are in the most influential period of growth and development at such a fundamental level is something we take seriously.

“This year is the largest it has ever been with over 18,000 students, the networks of Lyceum schools are stretched out to various parts of Sri Lanka with branches in Nugegoda, Kadana, Panadura, Wattala, Ratnapura, Gampaha, Nuwara Eliya, Anuradhapura and Kurunegala.

Our students have given outstanding performances in the National and Cambridge Examinations. A considerable number of students have achieved world best and island best places in both OL and AL Cambridge and top places in the National AL Examinations where some have entered the national universities. “It is a privilege to serve the children in our community. We are grateful for the acceptance and enthusiastic participation that has been and continues to be given by all those who support us today. We look forward to continuously improving our standards for generations to come.”

Kavitha Gunasekara, Deputy Manager (Learning and Development) of WNS Global Services and former head prefect of Lyceum International School – Nugegoda, Coordinating Principal Kumari Grero, Deputy Principals, Vijith Fernando, Dulka Mendis were Guests of Honour at the occasion.
