Explore the Wonders, a B2B wholesaler with its head office based in UAE and branch offices in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, undertook a travel agent familiarisation trip from UAE. It was organised in collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Dubai and SriLankan Airlines Dubai. 

There were 13 travel agents visiting the country and the trip was aimed at marketing the destination to the travel trade and also drive home the point that Sri Lanka is back in business and a safe destination to visit after the Easter tragic events. The trip covered Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Down South, Negombo and Colombo from 12 to 16 September.The agents stayed at OZO Kandy, Anantara Kalutara and Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo and visited other popular hotels, including Jetwing Blue, Amaya Hills Kandy, Mahaweli Reach Kandy, Grand Hotel Nuwara Eliya, Golden Crown Hotel Kandy, Anantara Kalutara, Avani Kalutara, Taj Resort & Spa Bentota, Amari Galle and OZO Colombo. The tour also covered key tourist attractions in the country.

Explore the Wonders and SriLankan Airlines Dubai took all steps to ensure the trip was successful and to promote the Sri Lanka as a top destination in the Middle East market.
