Turkish Airlines, the carrier that flies to the most countries in the world is expanding its scope of stopover service. Offering service to its transfer passengers that depart from Pakistan in March for the first time, after adding Portugal in September, it will give free hotel booking and the opportunity of discovering Istanbul to the passengers that depart from Pakistan, Russia, Kazakstan, Australia, Belarus, Ukraine, Algeria, South Africa,iran, Nijeria and Portugal.

Turkish Airlines Chief Marketing Officer Ahmet Olmustur said, “We are excited to expand our stopover service to another country after positive feedbacks. We are offering Turkish hospitality and to experience unique beauty of istanbul. We were sure that the program would be successful and contribute to our passengers’ satisfaction.”

Turkish Airlines hosted over 4,000 passengers from 11 countries at the end of six months by Stopover Service. 62% of the passengers who discovered istanbul through this service stated that it is the first time flying by Turkish Airlines, 73% of passengers remarked that stopover service is an important effect on preferring Turkish Airlines.

The flag carrier will continue to expand its scope of stopover service thanks to the interest of passengers. The service will be offered to many destinations particularly in Asia, Far East, America and Europe in for a short time.

The stopover passengers that are flying with Turkish Airlines and have long connecting time, take an opportunity to accommodate free one night at a four-star hotel for economy class passengers and two nights at a five-star hotel for business class passengers in Sultanahmet and Taksim region by accommodation voucher which is prepared after completing the check-in.**



By offering the unique beauties of istanbul, the stopover project aims to contribute to the tourism of Turkey and to increase transfer passengers of Turkish Airlines.
