LECS strikes victory for 5th time

The pioneers and trend setters, in the Meetings, Incentive, Conferences and Exhibition (MICE) industry, Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services Ltd. (LECS) was awarded the best ‘Professional MICE Organizer’ at the Sri Lanka Tourism Awards 2018 held at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo recently. 

“This is a great honour and tribute to our dedicated staff who work diligently to ensure that our clients receive a service on par with globally recognised standards. I am grateful to all our long-standing partners, officials and media colleagues that made this success possible. A special appreciation to all our exhibitors, delegates and visitors both local and international who patronise our events on a regular basis, helping us to scale the heights of success whilst creating many platforms which contribute to the development of the economy,” added LECS CEO Aasim Mukthar.

LECS has previously won the award for ‘Professional Exhibition Organizer’ at the Presidential Awards for Travel and Tourism for four consecutive years (2008 – 2011), earning its unique place in the prestigious Sri Lanka Tourism Awards Hall of Fame. The award ceremony was not held thereafter until this year. 

In true pioneering spirit LECS has ventured into Maldives (MECS) and India (IECS) establishing a firm foothold out of Sri Lanka. Backed by high net worth business personalities representing diversified business holdings in Sri Lanka and with a young energetic team, LECS plays a key role in Sri Lanka’s Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Exhibition (MICE) industry which is a specialised area in the tourism industry of Sri Lanka.
