David Richard joins The Blue Water, Wadduwa as General Manager

David Richard has recently joined The Blue Water, Wadduwa as General Manager. An Irish national, he is a seasoned hotelier with extensive experience in resorts and city hotels. He has previously worked in Sri Lanka with the Hilton, Colombo and has worked with Intercontinental Hotels Group, Dusit, Swiss-Belhotels International in Mid East, South Asia and South East Asia plus various standalone properties.

David Richard has returned to Sri Lanka and is looking forward to continuing the success of the Blue Water and raising the levels to a higher standard and bringing the property to the number one resort in the country.

“I am delighted to return to Sri Lanka and this fantastic role with the Blue Water, Wadduwa. It has been truly inspiring to see the changes in the country over the past decade. The infrastructure and the new hotels have been developed to a level that is on a par with all other top end destinations in the Indian Ocean.
