The Cinnamon Wellness Retreat will take place at Cinnamon Lodge Habarana in collaboration with the Azmaara Wellness andNature Trails.

Participants of the retreat will be able to enjoy daily yoga sessions with Sulochana Peiris, an internationally recognised yoga instructor who is an ardent believer in the wholesomeness of yoga and specialises in asana, pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation. Having a highly acclaimed Yoga Alliance – certificate, Sulochana has over 14 years of practice hours and over 200 hours of teacher training. She has also been trained by two of the best yoga instructors in the world Kalpana Radhika and Jonah Kest and with her help you will be able to master an array of stretches, poses and techniques and make yoga a part of your lifestyle.

Vipula Wanigasekera, a former Sri Lankan diplomat and Director General of the Sri Lankan Tourism Authority will be present at the retreat to teach guests the art of meditation. Holding a wealth of knowledge on spiritual studies which spans three decades, Vipula will help participants to tap into the power and importance of positive thinking. A lecturer and professional with vast career experience in trading, shipping, marketing and diplomacy, Vipula will help you to calm your mind, learn how to think clearly and shape your thoughts to achieve success and inner peace.

Renowned Global Health Coach, Kiru Kishokumar will also be at the retreat to guide and help you on ways to improve your overall sense of wellbeing, so that you can not only achieve an enhanced physical and mental strength but also know your body better and learn the tools to reset your body and mind. She will introduce you to the art of clean and healthy eating through a whole foods diet. Her tips and guidance will provide you a great opportunity, to not only indulge in healthy meals but also to experience the difference in your body and mind during your stay, by simply changing your diet. 

Shimali Perera, is a highly qualified Art Psychotherapist will be there as well, to help you tap into the power of expressing your emotions through art therapy. She has helped a large number of children and adults who suffer from depression, anxiety, disorders, stress, abuse, and trauma, to regain peace and confidence in themselves. Holding a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Goldsmith’s College, University of London, Shimali is also a registered Art Psychotherapist in the Australian and New Zealand Art Therapy Association (ANZATA), and she also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, USA.

The wellness retreat is set to take participants on an array of exciting adventures with Nature Trails, whilst also offering ample rest and relaxation through a wide range of treatments that will be provided by Azmaara Wellness. Overlooking a scenic reservoir, the soft and soothing music and calming décor, the spa creates the ultimate atmosphere for relaxation as you enjoy a vast array of special treatments throughout your stay.
