Zahira College Colombo inter house sports meet

Zahira College Colombo annual inter house sports meet (Post Primary) was held at the college grounds recently, under the patronage of Principal Trizviy Marikkar. Chief Guest Olympic Silver Medallist Susanthika Jayasinghe distributed prizes to the winners of the events.

The overall championship was won by the Cordova House (189 points), Angroa House (152 points) was second place, Baghdad House (126 points) obtained the third place and Istambul House (88 points) fourth place.

Cordova House became Champion at this year’s meet and Captain of the Cordova House Abdul Khaliq received the T.B. Jayah Challenge Shield from the Chief Guest Susanthika Jayasinghe.

Chairman of the Board of Governors Fouzul Hameed, Secretary Alavi Mukthar, Prefects of Games and Meet Secretary Muhiseen Ariff, Board of Governors Sports Sub Committee Chairman M.S.M. Faiz, Deputy Principals Ananda Ponnemperuma, Razeen Assan, Vice Principals, Old Boys Association President M.U.M. Azmi, Members of the BOG, teachers, old boys and parents were also present.

Head of Prefect Shalaby Isa delivered the vote of thanks.
