Zahira College Colombo Super 16 Soccer 7s championship on 29 February

The Past Prefects Association of Zahira College Colombo will be organising the Super 16 Soccer 7s championship for the 15th consecutive time this year, to be held at Race Course International stadium on 29 February and will be happening throughout the day.

Zahira College Colombo is a school that has excelled in football for decades, and has contributed to the sport at national level by producing players and also coaching staff. Zahira College Colombo is arguably the most prominent school in football in Sri Lanka by winning the most amount of championships in the last few decades.

The Past Prefects’ Association of Zahira College organising a tournament in such calibre will be a great opportunity for youngsters to perform and catch the eyes of national authorities. This tournament will be officiated by experts in local and foreign football recommended by the Education Ministry and the Football Federation of Sri Lanka.

Sixteen leading football-playing schools of the country will be a part of this prestigious tournament

Main Sponsor of the tournament Deedat Senior Brand Executive Usama Samsudeen handed over the sponsorship cheque to the Zahira College Principal Trizviiy Marikkar at the press conference. President of the PPA Razmi Rafeek and Project Chairman Arafath Nizam were also present.

The 16 schools participating in this tournament are De Mazenod College, Gateway College, Hindu College, Al Aqsa College, Isipathana College, Alethea International School, Maris Stella College, St. Henry’s College, D.S. Senanayake College, Royal College, St. Benedict’s College, St. Joseph’s College, S. Thomas’ College, Zahira Colombo, Gampola, Wesley College and Zahira College Colombo.
