Trinity open rugby season with Old Boys encounter

Trinity College under their skipper Reshan Bandaranyake drew with their Old Boys 12/12 in their annual rugby encounter which was played 

at Trinity College Rugby Stadium in Pallekelle last weekend.

Burly Number 8 Rahul Dhanaraj and Trevine Karunathilake were awarded the player of the match award.

Trinity beat Katugastota Rahula in their under-18 and under-16 encounters. The under-18 outfit is coached by Saliya Kumara with Asitha 

assisting while the under-16 outfit is coached by Aruna Rankothge and assisted by Damith Dissnayake.

In their under-14 encounter, Trinity beat Sumangala by nine tries while their B-team beat Kandy Rugby Academy by seven tries. The outfit was coached by former Peterite, Havies and Lanka Lions player Ramzi Dakka with Ranjan assisting him. (SJ)
