Sri Lankan youth leave for World Youth Championship in Finland

The Sri Lanka youth outfit of 11 athletes left the island to the IAAF World Youth Championship which will take place in Finland from 10-15 July.

Sri Lankan athletes will participate in the Men’s 400 metres, Women’s 100 metres, Women’s 800 metres and Women’s 3,000 metres steeple chase in the individual category. The Men’s and Women’s 4X400 metres event will also be a special feature at this event.

Ratnayake MV), Amasha De Silva (Swarnamali Girls’, Kandy), Parami Wasanthi (Steeplechase), Pasindu Kodikara (Maliyadeva College), Pabasara Niku (Nalanda College), Ravishka Indrajith (St. Benedict’s College), Harsha Karuarathne (Walala A. Rathnayake), Romeshi Attidya (Lyceum Nugegoda), Sachini Divyanjalie (Lyceum Wattala) and Sandumini Bandara (St. Joseph BV, Kegalle)
