Trinity beat Antonians by 59 runs in a low-scoring one day encounter at the Asgiriya International Stadium to safe keep the Richard Aluwihare shield. This was the 39th encounter and now the tally reads as Trinity 19 wins to Antonians 17 with two no results and one tied encounter.

Trinity off spinner who won the Man of the Match took six wickets at this encounter. Trinity 2006 skipper and Ryde Gold Medal winner Charith Dumbarange was the chief guest.
