MCA “E” Division 25-over League Tournament advances to quarter finals

The two unbeaten teams, Nawaloka Hospitals and Maliban Biscuits, along with Brandix Essentials, Stafford Motors, Emerchemie NB, Eagle Logistics, and Sri Lanka Telecom and Akbar Brothers advanced to the quarter finals in the 17th David Pieris Group of Companies powered “DPGC” Challenge Trophy –MCA “E” Division 25-over League Tournament 2019.

In the pre-quarter finals worked off at the MCA and NSCA, Ratmalana during last week-end, Eagle Logistics  (Group D/4) created a huge upset when they eliminated Group “B” leader LOLC by 09 wickets. The other seven teams coasted to comfortable wins; Brandix Essentials, beating DPMC “B” by 69 runs; Stafford Motors beating MAS Active by 04 – wickets; Emerchemie snuffing out Ceylon Tobacco by 109 runs; Maliban beating Commercial Bank “B” by 92 runs; SLT beating Amana Bank by 35 runs, Akbar Brothers beating Ansell Lanka by 07 wickets and Nawaloka beating Virtusa by 05 wickets.
