MCA D Division quarter finals this weekend

Unbeaten, Central Finance Co. headed Group “A” & unbeaten, DFCC Bank, headed Group “B”, as the “Coca Cola” Beverages Trophy , MCA “D” division, 40 Over League Tournament 2019, Stage One came to a conclusion on Sunday 3 February.

The first four teams of each group advanced to the knock-out stage; besides Central Finance, the three other teams to quality from Group “A” were: Airport & Aviation Services, Delmege Group, and Bodyline Ltd.; besides DFCC Bank, the three other teams from Group “B” were: Heshan Flexi Packaging, DPMC, and NDB Bank.

The League Stage honours went to Central Finance, for registering the highest team total of 257 for 09 vs. Airport & Aviation; Senal Deelaka from Softlogic Finance, being the top individual scorer (137 in 98 balls, inclusive of 04 sixes & 18 fours vs. Hilton Colombo Residencies), and Sapumal Senanayake from Heshan Flexi, for his excellent bowling performance of 6 for 15 vs. NDB Bank; the lowest team total was by Colombo Dockyard – 49 in 24.4 vs. Heshan Flexi.

1st QF @ MCA – Central Finance vs. NDB Bank

02nd QF @ Thurstan – DPMC vs. Airport & Aviation

Sunday 10 February

03rd QF @ MCA – Delmege Group vs. Heshan Flexi Packaging 

04th QF @ Veyangoda –  DFCC Bank vs. Bodyline Ltd.
