Ladies’ College clinch maiden national netball title

The Ladies’ College Under-18 netball team, led by national Under 21 player Ganya Senanayake, edged out a much-fancied Holy Family Convent, Kurunegala team 37-36 in their final encounter which concluded in Kurunegala on Saturday.

Ladies’ College also got the better of Visakha Vidyalaya in the provincial event, which took place four months ago. This is Ladies’ College first national netball title in a school history which spans more than 100 years.
