Irafan Pathan arrives early for the LPL

The Kandy Tuskers, who had their initial training camps at the Piliyandala indoor nets, reached the hotel in Hambantota two days ago. The outfit is led by local icon Kusal Janith Perera, with former national cricketers Hashan Tillakaratne and Farveez Maharoof operating as the Head Coach and Team Manager respectively.

Afghanistan internationals Naveen-ul-Haq Murid and Rahmanullah Gurbaz and former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan have already arrived in the Island. Their team icon player, West Indies legend Chris Gayle will arrive in the island shortly from the United Arab Emirates after his Indian Premier League commitments. Further, former Pakistani fast-bowler Sohail Tanvir and former Indian fast-bowler Munaf Patel will arrive in the island shortly as well.

The Kandy Tuskers will play their first My11Circle Lanka Premier League encounter on the opening day (26 November) against the Colombo Kings at 7.30 p.m.
