Former All Blacks star Rodney So’oialo with Trinity for 3 weeks

Former All Blacks crack number 8, Rodney So’oialo, will be with the Trinity College Rugby outfit in a three weeks’ rugby camp, which is scheduled to take place in Colombo.

39-year-old Rodney represented the All Blacks 2002 to 2009, with his pet position being the pack leader at the number 8 position. He played for the Honda Heat club based in Japan. He is heavily involved with the Wellington Lions as their forwards coach since 2017. He is also coaching Tawa Rugby Club in Wellington. He played in Super Rugby for Hurricanes, representing in 101 encounters, while his All Black test appearances amounts to 62.

Rodney also represented New Zealand in the shorter version of the game, and was part of the Gold winning team at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

Inthi Marikar will be Trinity College’s Under 19 outfit Interim Coach, plus Rugby Director at the up country school. They will kick off the season with a game against Zahira College, Colombo in early March 2019.
