Cinnamon Lakeside Inter-Department Cricket Tournament 2018

Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo held their much-anticipated Inter-Department Cricket Tournament on 8 September at the Malay Grounds in Colombo. Associates took to the field for a series of fiercely competitive matches, after which team Kitchen B emerged Champions while Kitchen Stewarding A became Runners-Up. Team Food and Beverage (F&B) took home the Ladies’ Champions title while Reservations became Ladies’ Runners-Up. In the individual awards, D.M.S.K. Bandara from Kitchen B was named Best Bowler, while I.D.D. Kavinda, also from Kitchen B, was named Best Batsman.

The members in the Champions team were Shameen Athuraliya, I.D.D. Kavinda, Preethimal Wijesekara, D.M.S.K. Bandara, Danushka Senadeera, K.M. Madushanka, H.K. Samarajeewa and Ruwan Kumara.

The members in the Ladies’ Champions team were W.D.C. Kalhari, Saroja Edirisinghe, Samadhi Cooray, Shakthi Samarawickrama, Dhanushi Karunarathne, Sumudu Wanigasuriya and Kalpani Sewandhi.

The fun-filled day was made even more memorable with the carnival atmosphere that was created for Associates to kick back and relax with plenty of food, drinks and fun activities.
