Asian Athletic Championship 2019

The 23rd Asian Athletic Championship 2019, will be worked off from 21 to 24 April at the Khalifa Stadium in Doha Qatar. More than 700 athletes from 40 countries will run for honours.

Asian Athletic Association inception dates back to 1973 were it took place in Philippines. There will be 186 medals on offer in 21 men’s and equal number of women’s events along with a mixed relay event for the first time. China leading the tally with 17 wins. Sri Lanka will send a 15 member squad with eight males and seven females. (SJ)
