Lanka Shipping & Logistics handles three Russian Naval ships

Lanka Shipping & Logistics Ltd., led by Saliya Senanayake FCILT, proved its professionalism once again by being nominated as the exclusive agent in Sri Lanka to handle end to end logistics and other related services to three Russian Naval ships at the East Container Terminal in the Port of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The ships, namely the Varayag, Admiral Panteleev and Boris Botuma berthed on the morning of 20 December 2018, and sailed off on Christmas Eve (24 December) 2018. 

All agency and ancillary services from fenders for a “double banking operation”, transport to many types of supplies were handled by the marine operations team from Lanka Shipping.

The three ships carrying over 1000 sailors, had the opportunity of enjoying the hospitality of Sri Lanka in the commercial capital city of Colombo and the historical city of Galle.

A spokesman said Lanka Shipping & Logistics Ltd. is setting new standards and trends of handling Naval ships in Sri Lanka.
