Kuwait Airways rated as five-star major airline by apex

Kuwait Airways, the world’s youngest fleet, added yet another accolade into its impressive resume last week as the airline was awarded an official five-star major airline rating at the recently-concluded APEX/IFSA awards in Los Angeles where the apex official airline ratings were announced. 

The proud national airline of the state of Kuwait is steadily making its presence felt worldwide as it expands its fleet and services to reach destinations across the globe. Passengers from all over the world rated in excess of a million flights from more than 600 major airlines worldwide from July 2018 and June 2019. 

Categories were judged on a five-star scale in five subcategories: seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment, and Wi-Fi. Last week, the company announced it had recorded an accuracy of flights’ arrival time at Kuwait International Airport by 93.9% for August, compared to 88% last July. Moreover, Kuwait Airways was ranked eighth in flights timing accuracy between 175 aviation companies in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, according to the UK’s Official Aviation Guide (OAG).

Flying to all prime tourist destinations, all Kuwait Airways flights are serviced by the world’s youngest fleet which includes the airline’s flagship Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A320 neo aircraft operating out of Kuwait which is indeed good news for travellers. The airline took its delivery of its first A320 neo this month. The delivery is a milestone in Kuwait Airways’ 65th anniversary celebrations, marking an important step in the airline’s ambitious fleet renewal and growth plans, which will phase-in 15 A320neo aircraft to its fleet in the coming years

The A320neo will be a pillar of Kuwait Airways’ single-aisle fleet, bringing continuity to the success delivered by its current seven A320ceos, and ensuring a smooth transition for pilots, crews, and technical teams. Kuwait Airways’ new A320neo is configured in a spacious two-class layout, including 12 business class and 122 economy class seats. The aircraft offers the widest single-aisle cabin in the market with unmatched comfort in all classes. It also provides the latest in-flight entertainment technology. The new additions to the world’s youngest fleet operating in and out of Colombo coupled with the airlines destinations have given Kuwait Airways the opportunity to offer a vastly improved and superior quality product coupled one of a kind levels of service and luxury on board one of the best First and Business class cabins available today.
